Frisco received 25 GP40-2s in 1979. They all made it to Burlington Northern and retained their trademark Frisco nose lights for a short time after getting green paint. There were some changes, however, these locomotives had lost their rock pilots but gained additional MU plugs and cab roof beacons. In addition to the nose and cab roof lights, models feature front and rear tri-color class lights. All models feature a "Phase 2B" carbody. Horn and cab beacon style and location vary by road number like the prototypes!
