|Produced by Lionel in 1995, and the first Aquarium car made in the LTI era. This was the first in a reintroduction series, which continues today. An exact replica of the 1959 Postwar design, except the the fish animation is worm gear driven instead of track powered motor. Just like real life, the fish in this animated car never stop 'swimming' when the car is in motion. Features; gold painted plastic body(has classic molded "L"), illuminated backdrop(which highlight the fish film and the interior), plastic trucks with operating couplers, and "Lionelville Undersea Display" gold paint scheme and graphics. This car would sell as high as $100, in 96, and still commands in the $60 range.
