| One of the rarest pieces produced by LTI(modern era Lionel), in 1993. Books for $295 in mint condition. A remake of the first three postwar 6464 boxcars from 1953. Lionel hit a homerun with these classic remakes. Low production on this first series, set this set thru the roof. Includes Western Pacific 6464-1; Great Northern 6464-25; and Minneapolis & ST.Louis 6464-50. All have graphics exactly like the postwar versions, with die-cast sprung trucks. The immence popularity from this set lend to Lionel creating the Postwar Celebration series. This is the hardest of the 6464 series to find period, way tough. |
