|Once again Lionel split the catalog's in 1989. For one year only in 89, they were labeled "Toy Fair Edition", to correspond with the annual NYC Toy Fair in February of every year. This was the second catalog for 1989, and came out in the early part of 89. This catalog consisted almost entirely of Lionel's Traditional line; train sets, locomotives, rolling stock, accessories, building kits, track and transformers. 28 color paged new design featuring picyures of B&W old trains in the background with new color Lionel trains in the foreground. New items included; Pennsylvania B6 Scale Switcher and smoking work caboose(Collector Line, one of the best steam engines released in 50 years, and the first with RailSounds), Amtrak Silver Spike passenger set, U.P. RS-3, N.H. SD-18, Santa Handcar in white, Reading Cop and Hobo car, PRR Auto Carrier with cars, NYC O-27 passenger cars, Rail Scope engines and television(O-27, HO, and G scale), Rotary Radar antenna, Lionelville Smoking Diner, Illuminated Frt.
