| Released in September of 2000, this was Lionel's first and only catalog devoted to Xmas items only. Even though Lionel scaled down the number of catalog's in 2000, this Xmas catalog was overlooked. All the items were also featured in the Classic Catalog Volume 2. Eight pages packed with photograph illustration's. This was a fantasic year, and Lionel offered 15 Xmas items (there largest offering to date). All the items had a gold color paint scheme. Featured items included: O gauge Xmas set, Xmas Trolley set, North Pole Pylon, Bobbing Reindeer boxcar, Santa & Snowman Boxcar, Jingle Bells Railsounds boxcar, Santa Operating Present boxcar, 2000 Xmas boxcar (O gauge, AF, & Large Scale), Large Scale Xmas set, and lots more. This catalog saw a short publication run being all the items were also in Vol. 2 catalog. Henceforth most people never saw this version, and it's somewhat hard to find. |
