| 1990 Lionel celebrates there 90th Anniversary, and LTI hit a homerun with this catalog. The 1937 classic legend returns: New York Central Scale Hudson #700E. Also the classic tinplate Standard Gauge 400E Blue Comet and passenger cars. This is also the first year Lionel has numbered there annual catalog's-Book 1&2. Book #2 consist of 36 color pages with over 100 color photographs, including classic B&W real train photo backgrounds. This catalog combined both the Collector and Traditional lines, Classic Tinplate, and American Flyer. New items included; remake of the 1937 Rail Cheif cars for the scale Hudson, 35th Anniversary Disneyland General, Lionelville Circus set, CSX SD-18 Frt. set, Snoopy & Woodstock handcar, Sealand TTUX, Conrail Auto Loader, N.P. O-27 passenger cars,"I Love NJ" boxcar(and numerous new cars), Floodlight tower, Mom's Smoking Diner, Animated Billboard, 318 Tinplate Standard Gauge Frt. set, American Flyer Rail Scope engine, and lots more. Hands down this was the best modern era catalog to date. LTI continues to top the previous year catalog, and growth in the hobby. The collector once again has an empty wallet.
