| Woodside boxcar from the Bicentennial "Spirit of '76" series. For 1976, Lionel made a boxcar for every state of the original 13 colonies, as well as a U36B diesel and a porthole caboose in red, white and blue livery. The DELAWARE car has cream sides with blue ends and roof. It also has some great information about Delaware including a map with the location of the captial, state flag, bird, flower, tree, and motto, as well as the day they joined the union of United States of America (12/7/1787). It features Symington Wayne trucks with operating couplers on both ends. Lionel also made special boxes for these cars that say "Spirit of '76' with the 13-star USA flag on it. |
