Produced by Lionel in 1978, and only available in the "Milwaukee Limited" set(6-1867). Tuscan painted plastic body and doors, white lettering, 'The Route/of/PHOEBE SNOW' script to right of doors, Type IX body mold, Type III door guides, Type III frame, metal die-cast sprung trucks, 'BLT 1-78'. Phoebe Snow was the Lackawanna's famous Lady in White, and later the name of the Lackawanna's premier daylite train from New York to Buffalo. Very tough car to find broken up from the set. At the time this was the first Lackawanna boxcar ever produced by Lionel, hence forth has always been extremely popular. Box is original with item nember writen in, Lionel never labeled the ends. |
