Often referred to as the "Casey Jones" type of locomotive, the 21165 was manufactured in 1961 and 1962, and then returned once again in 1966. It featured a two position reverse unit but did not have smoke, headlight or choo choo. It was a black plastic model with white lettering, had an ERIE herald on the tender and came in two variations. Type I variation had sintereed metal trucks with a knuckle coupler and was sold only in 1961. The type II variation was manufactured in 1962 and 1966 and had Pikemaster trucks and couplers. |
