| The 343 switcher was made from 1953 until 1958. It features smoke, red glow, Pullmor motor, choo-choo and knuckle couplers. Both the loco and tender are diecast. The 0-8-0 represented Gilbert's most extensively detailed Post-War loco. The 343 had three variations; Type I had serif lettering on the tender which housed a four position reverse unit, Type 2 had a four position reverse unit mounted on the back of the locomotive and was produced from 1955 until 1956.
