| Truly one of the most lasting of all Gilbert freight cars, the 631 gondola was manufactured in link version from 1946 through 1953. From 1952 through 1956 it was manufactured in knuckle version. As a link car it came mostly in either dark or medium green, however in 1948 a small number were manufactured in grey and in 1951 an uncataloged red car was released.
