| The 646 depressed center generator car was sold from 1950 until 1953 and was the main searchlight car during those years. It replaced the 634 CNW produced from 1946 until 1949. There are eight versions of the 646, mainly surrounding the color of the generator and/or the color of the lamp housing. The only version which trades at a premium is the 1950 version which came with a diecast green painted generator. There is a second 1950 version with a white plastic, green painted generator which is even rarer. All other six versions all trade at about the same price. |
