        | Great addition to the train room wall -  especially  if you add the missing Western  Maryland signal lock and key! Chains are not  original but all four  of the locks have keys.  Brushed brass plaques below each lock show their  origin. Mounted on a wooden base with brass  fitting to hang it with. Measures approx 29" in  length. The four locks comprise of the following:  a) Southern Railroad Yale lock stamped with the  maker's name on the front and "HARDENED" on the  rounded shackle, and stamped "YALE" and "SOU RR"  on rear of lock and "YALE & TOWNE" on the rear of  the shaft. Key number is 24291 b) Union Pacific  Railroad brass lock with brass key. Key marked  "U.P.RR" on one side and "1 33 5 8", "S", and  "YALE CO CHICAGO" on  the other. Lock is marked  "YALE" on rear c) Norfolk and Western Railroad  marked "YALE", "16214" and "MADE IN U.S.A." on  the front of the lock. Rounded shackle has "N &  W" stamped on the front and "MADE FOR" on the  back. Back of lock has  "THE YALE & TOWNE MFG CO"  stamped on the back. Key is marked "YALE" and  "MADE IN U.S.A." on the front and "16214" and  "YALE & TOWNE MFG CO" on the  rear. Final lock is  d) Norfolk and Western Railroad lock with "N.&W."  on front of lock, "HARDENED" stamped on rear of  the rounded shackle,  and "GENUINE PIN TUMBLER"  and "SLAYMAKER" on the  rear of the body of the  lock. Key is stamped "SLAYMAKER LANCASTER.PA.  U.S.A." on one side and "GW433" on the other.  Great set of locks and keys for the collection!    |
