LIONEL TRAINS OTC LOCKON
| Lionel operating cars like the No. 3356 Horse Car and the Operating Barrel Car No. 3562. These cars were too long to operate on the standard track size operating track sections: No. 6019 for O27 Gauge track and the UCS for O Gauge track. The OTC Lockon was included with these operating cars that would allow them to operate with the correct accessories. The lockon had two control rails that fit between the three rails on any straight section of track. These rails would engaged the sliding electrical pickup shoes on the operating car's trucks. The height of these rails was set for O27 Gauge track, but Lionel included two track clips that extended the height of these rails so that they could also work on O Gauge track. |
