| First introduced by Plasticville in 1950, the picket fence was one of the most inexpensive items offered in their line. The fence sections were usually offered in a box set, which the dealer could sell as individual pieces or as a complete set. The #1-C came in a one piece lift box (perforated fold up lid for display). The set contained 15 picket fence sections, and one gate section. The box was red and green with cape cod house illustration. A rarer version was labeled "Christmas Fence and Gate", with Christmas tree and fence illustration. The fences are common, but finding the box is pretty rare. |
