PLASTICVILLE DE-7 JERSEY DINER KIT

Introduced in 1952 and modeled after the typical 1940's/1950's New Jersey roadside diner. A total of five pieces make a complete kit. From 1952 until 1957, it had a sleeve-type box with blue borders and a picture of the diner on the top. Came in two versions, both with gray wall sides with either red or yellow trim and roof. Chrome sided diners were only produced in 1954 and 1955 with both yellow and red roofs and trim. In 1958, Plasticville changed the catalog number to 1500 and produced a very colorful sleeve-type box which remains pretty rare to this day. The DE-7 has become a classic kit found on many layouts!
