Introduced by Plasticville in 1953, and was made until the early 1960's. Complete kit consist of ten pieces and came in a one piece lift box. There are two variations of the Post Office kit and the difference is quite distinctive. They are: 1) tan walls, grey front with red lettering, grey roof, and two inserts and flag (common version), and 2) tan walls, grey front wall with red lettering, red roof, and two inserts and flag (extremely rare). The red roof Post Office is considered to be one of the most sought after variations in all of Plasticville collecting. An authentic roof, grey or red has a hole for the flag pole and small peg directly under the hole. Often missing are the flag, window inserts, clear door, or the lights which are also often broken.
