| This set is the O27 version of the 675, with 2-6-4 wheel arrangement and spoked drivers. Cataloged in 1949 and reintroduced(1951-52) because of the shortage of alnico material required for magnetraction. This was probably one of the best selling in 1951-52. It had everything the train operator wanted; die-cast steam engine with smoke, headlight and whistle. The content included: 2025 steam loco, 6466w lionel line whistle tender, 6462black NYC gondola with barrels, 6465 Sonoco two dome thank car, 6257 SP type caboose, eight curved and three straight, 6019 uncoupling/operating section, and a 1033 90 watt transformer, and CTC lockon,also paperwork included: instructionfor assembling booklet, lionel sevice station booklet, 2025 directions, smoke pollets and tamper. |
