        | This item is a COPY and not an original, which is a tough to find and interesting book published by Lionel in 1944. Illustrates Pre-War equipment in layout settings, designed to keep children interested in trains during production hiatus of World War II. Heavy paper pulp with four-color front cover, and red and black interior pages. Interesting notes: Page 38 explains "Why there are no LIONEL TRAINS this year", and Lionel's commitment to the war effort. Page four and five has a neat picture comparison with the 700E Hudson and the Double OO Hudson, explaining the difference between O and OO. A tough catalog for the paper collector to find as it saw a very small war time publishing run. Again, this booklet is a COPY of the originals. |
