|Some analysts call 1955 the year in which Lionel began its slow and painful fall from the top. However, there were still many important and notable items that made their debuts in 1955. Among them are the 60 trolley, 41 Army motorized unit, 3359 twin dump car, 3361 lumber car, 6517 bay window caboose, and the 6414 Evans auto loader. Engines that were available that year included the 2338 Milwaukee Road and 2328 Burlington GP-7s, 2363 Illinois Central F-3s, 2245 T exas Special F-3s, and 2331 Virginian FM Trainmaster. The pride and joy of this catalog was t he reintroduction of the GG-1, this time with 2340 on the sides and pulling a train of 2500 series aluminum passenger cars with PRR striping. This catalog is in excellent condition.
