| Built in 1960 for uncataloged sets, and cataloged in 1962 with rare separate sale box 6017-235. Southern Pacific-type red painted body with white heat-stamped lettering, no delux features, AAR trucks with one operating coupler and one fixed coupler. Did not have illumination, window inserts, smokestack, ladders, or battery boxes. Most versions are found without the box. These would be stored 50 to a reusable carton (this is where they would often get nicked or scratched!). |
