Made from 1956 until 1958. 6562-series gondolas replaced the 6462 series gondolas - the number was changed for long gondolas from 6462 to 6562 to correspond to discontinuing underscoring the #6562. Unpainted red body with stamped metal frame. Long gondola with a type IIb body (N in third panel - "6562" not underscored - typically three lines of data with "NEW 2-49"). Bar-end diecast trucks with magnetic couplers. Canisters are red with white lettering. |
