ORIGINAL 1951 PRR WALL CALENDAR - GRIFF TELLER
artwork calendars in 1916. Griff Teller would paint his first in 1929, and continue until 1958 when PRR replaced them with a small, non-artwork version (by 1958 PRR was already in merger discussions with the NYC). This 1951 version showcases the 1953 painting "Main Lines of Commerce" print on the top, and 13 pages representing thirteen months from December 1950 to December 1951 inclusive. Each page is a three month - previous, current, and future month to view. Measures approx. 28 inches square with metal headers on the top and bottom. Full calander pad started with December 1957. Classic piece of past railroad history for the train room (great when framed!).This example is missing just the top page (December 1950) - the other twelve pieces are intact. One five and a half inch tear on bottom left next to metal footer. |
