LIONEL BOTTLED SMOKE PELLETS
| SMOKE PELLETS. The original smoke pellets. Used in Lionel steam engines that have the smoke unit. Some variations are known to exist. Built 1947- 1969. Early 1947-48 round bottles were left over inventory from Lionel's chemistry sets. Typical square bottle was used throughout 1948-68. The label design changed about every 3 years. Interesting to note by 1969 they went back to a round bottle. |
