| Starter sets are not designed to be collectible, but this Navy set was an exception. Produced by Lionel in 1994 and 95, this set has become quite rare, and very difficult to find complete(much less sealed). All the components were taken from the postwar era. Complete Set Includes: US Navy NW-2 Switcher Engine with a Powerful Motor That Runs on AC or DC Current * Boxcar with Sliding Doors * Gondola with Removable Canisters * Operating Crane Car * Flatcar with Removable, Operating Submarine * Illuminated Searchlight Caboose(new item) * Rare U.S. Navy tractor and fuel tank * Eight Sections of Straight track * Eight Sections of Curved Track * Two Pieces of Grade Crossing * Die-Cast Metal Tractor and Detachable Tanker * AC Controller with UL-Listed Wall Pack and Buttons to Activate Diesel Horn and Control Foward- Neutral-Reverse * Lockon. A very tough set to find complete and in nice condition. Usually starter sets don't survie Xmas complete. |
