BELT LINE ILLUMINATED CABOOSE

Produced by Lionel in 1998. LIONEL BELT LINE CABOOSE equipped with die-cast metal trucks. Belt lines transfered freight between different railroads at major cities. The belt line cabooses were put on for the crew. Locos were often those from the connecting railroads. The belt lines were too small to afford enough locos for the traffic they had, or were owned by the railroads they connected and parent locomotives were used many of the transfer runs. (10.98.02)
