UNION PACIFIC BALLAST TAMPER (ALL METAL)

 

Produced by lionel in 1995. A crucial piece of M.O.W. equipment, this self-propelled unit moves down the track under it's own power and includes four tampers that move up and down in fascinating animation. On real railroads the tampers keep the road bed solid. Compare the pictures for illustrations of some of the different adjustable positions.
