B&O DIE CAST SCALE 4-BAY HOPPER

| Produced by Lionel in 1998, and was only available in a 4-pack die-cast hopper(6-26936). The set sold for $499.95, and when the cars have been broken-up sold for $100-125. This is one of Lionel's heaviest and highly detailed freight cars. It is made entirely of diecast - the body, frame, and even the brake wheel. It is black with yelow lettering and has the Chessie System cat along with the B&O logo. It is almost an exact replica of the early 1990s B&O hopper that was of the B-6 switcher (6-18000) reproduction set. This car features die cast sprung trucks with operating couplers on both ends a s well as four opening coal hatches at the bottom of the hopper bay. |
