EMD introduced the new safety-cab option for its SD60 locomotive in 1988. Over the next six years and 460 units, the design of the SD60Ms' cab would c ontinue to evolve. Nearly all of the locomotives a re still in service today. For the first time, Lionel is introducing this model in both the original 3-piece and later 2-piece windshield designs.
