| Produced in 1985, this set was a 1st ever, equipped with 5 seperately numbered BN standard O box cars (all with metal sprung trucks with springs) instead of a mixed consist, replicating high speed trains of solid boxcars It is quite rare today, with a rarity rating of 4 out of 5. (The only thing rarer are trains not generally cataloged or not originally produced in planned quantities because of tooling or manufacturing breakdownsThe loco is a superpowered dual pullmor motored SD 40 with magnegraction. Set also Includes a BN Scale Extended vision Caboose. Very beautiful color combinationTrack and transformer were not included by Lionel. Purchase of our TS-15 track and transformer package or TS- 15CC (with command control equipment as well as track and transforer) is recommended if you don't have track. etcSet is new, and has a 8585 loco,6234,6235,6236,6237,6238 boxcars and 6913 caboose. Set box has slight amount of scuffing along edges where a bit of white shows through (it is 16 years old) |
