| Lionel offered this uncataloged freight set in 1976, and this one is brand new, never run. Less than 6000 were made and its was the first Service Station set to include standard O sprung trucks on all rolling stock. This was the evolution of high end all die-cast sprung trucks that defined Lionel's Rolling Stock quality for the future SET INCLUDES: 6-8666 NP GP-9 diesel engine; 6-9775 Minniapolis/St. Louis boxcar; 6- 9776 SP "Overnight" boxcar; 6-9267 Alcoa quad hopper; 6-9869 SF refrigerator car; 6-9177 NP (green/white) bay window caboose. NOTE: collector demand forced Lionel to offer a matching (black/gold) bay window caboose the following year to compliment the colors of the diesel loco.
