This is the 50th anniversary edition "Hudson" and to commemorate this beauty, Lionel included 2 50th anniversary metal plaques that can be attached to the loco itself or onto a wooden base. Lionel NYC 4-6-4 scale 773-type Hudson, built in 1988 (uncatalogued). This particular Hudson is highly sought after due to the first time appearence of metal rims since the 1938 #763E black Hudson. ENGINE FEATURES: 1/4" scale (due to scale proportions, this Hudson will best handle 0-72" curves but, it will negotiate 0-31 O-gauge trackage) * spoked driving wheels with chromed metal rims * die-cast metal body * operating smoke unit w/steam emissions from steam chest * operating headlight * transformer controlled forward/neutral/reverse * TENDER FEATURES: die- cast 6 wheel trucks * Lionel's "Mighty-Sound-of- Steam" and steam whistle * operating die-cast metal coupler * wire handrails * simulated coal load * authentic NYC markings.
