| Produced by Lionel in 1988. This was the first full scale locomotive done by lionel in the Lackawanna roadname (still to this day the only one). 4-8-4 Northern, semi-gloss black-painted diecast boiler with graphite gray painted smoke box, white prototype '1501' below cab windowand on sand dome, white stripe along boiler and white striped drivers, number in white alongside and below headlight, silver plated ornamental bell on boiler front, green marker light, smoke from stack and steam chests, headlight, Magnetraction, Type IV Berk motor, three position E-unit. Large diecast northern tender with coal load, white 'LACKAWANNA' lettering, diecast six wheel tender trucks and electronic sound of steam and whistle. |
