ERIE LACKAWANNA SD-40 DIESEL LOCO (NON-POWERED)

 

Uncataloged and produced by Lionel in 1989, as a year end dealer special. This was the match for the EL SD-40 powered unit from 1984(6-8458). FEATURES:
  • Working headlight
  • Illuminated number boards
  • Authentic markings
  • Metal chassis and handrails
  • Die-cast trucks
  • Operating knuckle couplers and snow plow. Also classic EL paint scheme and logo, numbered 8459 to match the powered unit. This was one of the tougher SD units to find(never very popular outside of the Northeast).
