Lionel 6-8357

PENNSYLVANIA POWERED GP-9 ENGINE (1973-75)

PRR GP-9. Produced by Lionel in 1973-1975. Great looking Pennsy Brunsick green, with gold lettering. At the time, this was one of the most popular MPC era engines, and would lead to a string of PRR diesel's. Features include: classic plastic molded Geep body, Pullmor motor, die cast trucks , sheet-meta chassis, metal railings, operating couplers, illuminated headlight, and authentic PRR paint scheme and graphics. Lionel produced a matching dummy Geep at the same time(6 -8358), which is even harder to find. One of the best running engines, for the operator or collector.
