CONRAIL E-33 RECTIFER ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE
Produced by Lionel from 1978-80, 1982. GE E-33 electric was modeled after Lionel's PostWar #2329 Virginian from 1958. Despite it's boxy look, this locomotive was welcomed by collectors because of its appealing look and great pulling power no matter the road name. FEATURES: grey plastic body painted blue w/white lettering and Conrail rail- wheel logo * single can motor * single manual pantograph can be wired for actual powered catenary operation * headlighting at both ends * lighted number boards * ornamental roof horn * die-cast 4-wheel trucks * 3-postion E-unit (F/N/R) * operating couplers * metal chassis * metal handrails/grabirons * authentic Conrail paint scheme. This is the last and hardest of the MPC era rectifer's to locate. It is prized by collectors today. |
