| With the demise of K-line, this will probably be the last K-line engine you can buy that was made by the original K-line operation Full TMCC and all the other good stuffHeavy duty tank engines were needed to move long lines of coal cars up the unloading ramps where coal was unloaded at major terminals, either into areas for pickup and delivery by truck, for loading into barges going across the river, or for loading into seagoing vessels carrying coal for export The coal was carried in a bin supported by a 6 wheel truck rather than a seperate tenderThe CNJ used them at Elizabethport, Jersery City and throughout the New Jersey Seaport areas, and the B&A used them all over the Boston area The loaders were heavy duty stuff, each car was rotated upside down and unloaded in a few seconds.
