| This Premier edition engine was produced by MTH in 1998. This was the first U.P. Veranda turbine produced by Mikes, and has become pretty difficult to find. Features include 4 precision flywheel motors, 2 operating proto-smoke system, ABS detailed bodies, cab interior detail with figures, painted handrails and grills, digital proto sounds, remote controlled proto-coupler, electronic reverse unit, die-cast tender, die-cast trucks, stamped metal frame, directional headlights and interior lights. Operates on O72 track and measures 32 inches long. When this engine came out it was the best O gauge diesel on the market. MTH gave Lionel a well deserved kick in the butt that lead Lionel into producing a better product today. |
