LIONEL 2640, 2640 & 2641 BLUE AND ALUMINUM THREE CAR PASSENGER SET -

| Built from 1938 to 1942, these blue cars were a starter set staple. They were sold in sets that retailed for around $20 and included engines like the No. 1684, 1666 and 224E. These cars have light blue sides with aluminum colored roofs, doors etc. and black lettering. They have nickel journal boxes and remote controlled box couplers. |
