Lionel pw-128

128 ANIMATED NEWSSTAND

This vibrant accessory was advertised by Lionel for separate sale from 1957 umtil 1960. It uses the same vibrating motor that is found in the 3444 animated gondola and 362 barrel loader. The man behind the counter moves back and forth, the man holding the paper pivots, and the dog runs around the fire hydrant. Measures 8.5 x 6.25 x 4.25 inches. The newspaper that the man in front of the counter holds is often lost, therefore it can be tough to find an original one. Three major variations exist. The most common version had an unpainted dark green plastic building. Another version had an unpainted light green plastic building. The rarest version had a blue plastic building that was painted light green. Also, the levers appeared as both black or white plastic. It originally came with envelope 128-81 containing one 128-80 instruction sheet, one 364C controller and three 381-32 connecting wires.
