4-6-4 HUDSON STEAM LOCOMOTIVE AND WHISTLE TENDER WITH RUBBER STAMPED CAB NUMBER

This 4-6-4 steam locomotive was available from 1953 through 1955. It was modeled after steam engines on the Atchinson, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad. It shared a boiler casting with the 665, 685, and 2065 steamers. However, the 2055 was the only one of these four to not have the horizontal tank above the boiler front. It used the same boiler front as the 646 and 2046 steamers. It either came with a 6026W or a 2046W whistle tender.
  • The body is made of die cast and is painted black. Some have rubber stamped cab numbers, while some are heat stamped. There is no difference in value between the two variations. This is the rubber stamped version, which is believed to have been the earlier production run. It has an ornamental whistle and bell mounted to the body, as well as marker lights on the front and wire hand rails. It features: a Pullmor motor, Magne-Traction, three-position electronic reverse unit, operating smoke, and a headlight.
