282R GANTRY CRANE

Built from 1956 until 1957. Intricate structure and detailing. Heavy bridge construction gantry frame. Three levers control rotation 360 degrees, hook up and down motion, magnet on/off. This crane came in two versions. The 282 has a screw on cab, gray smoke stack, and a black magnet. The 282R has a snap on cab, black smoke stack, and a silver magnet - cab is marked 282R. Transitional pieces may have different configuations of these features. The internal mechanism of the 282R was significantly redesigned compared to the prior 282
