TIMKEN BOXCAR TYPE 4 HAGERSTOWN 1969
|Built 1969. Type IV body, un-painted medium yellow, no built date, light yellow muti-block doors. bar-end metal trucks. A factory Hagerstown, Md was used for production in 1969. Inside of the 6464 boxcars have the inversion of the roof ribs and plates, compared to earlier cars with smooth insides of roofs. Boxes are unique as well, as shown, with white ends which were stamped with the name of the contents. Our picture shows the 1969 catalog page listing the 6464's made in Hagerstown. All come in the same type box.
