EIRE BAY WINDOW CABOOSE RARE (1966)

| Produced for one year only, 1966. One of the toughest and most desirable Postwar era caboose's to find. This was also the second offering of a bay window caboose, and identical mechanically to the eailer 6517 from 1955-59. The big difference from the eailer version was the rubber-stamped "6517-75" on the underside metal frame, and the rubber-stamped lettering on the red painted body ("ERIE" diamond logo and numbered "C301"). Came in a tough mid-sixties window display box with roof insert, and rubber-stamped number on end flap. The plastic molded body was painted red and it had white rubber-stamped lettering. Also featured, O27 gauge passenger trucks, illuminated interior, stamped sheet-metal ladders, and plastic platform ends. |
