1955 PENNSYLVANIA CONGRESSIONAL SET WITH 2340 GG-1 AND 4 PASSENGER CARS
The Real Congressional running on the Pennsylvania between New York and Washington was one of the most famous and heavily used trains in the world. It was re-equippped into 17 car long silver sets with maroon stripes on each cars and maroon GG1's in 1952. Lionel introduced the set in 1955 with the 2340 5 Stripe Maroon GG1; in 1956, it was produced with the 2360 Maroon 5 stripe GG1.
