All Lionel locomotives and rolling stock come with magnetic couplers. Use this track anywhere on your O-27 layout that you would want to uncouple all or any part of your train. Comes with control button. For unloading, use the 6- 12746 which has both uncoupling and unloading functions for operating cars (Milk Cars, log cars and coal cars). This track is only for uncoupling.
