LIONEL SANTA FE DASH 8-40B 6-CAR FREIGHT SET W/ RAIL SOUNDS (1990)
 |
| Condition is mint and still sealed in the inner plastic wrap. Set box lid has some creases, and a few worn marks after 36 years. This is the set Dave Shaw recommended to Spike Lee, for his 1995 film Clockers. The Train Station built and operated the layout on the film set. Spike had Lionel repaint the engine in the SF War Bonnet paint scheme. Great set for the collector, and or operator. Conventional transformer controlled. Offered by Lionel in 1990 as an upscale limited edition collector set. Set does NOT include track or transformer. It is the first set offered by Lionel to include a Dash 8 loco without a caboose.
