| Annual consumer catalog from 1975 celebrated Lionel's 75th year in business. Once again the catalog increases in size to 24 pages. Great catalog shot with classic old and new trains spanning there history, with the 75th Anniversary logo. Catalog also includes a two paged text on the history of Lionel. Things are improving at Lionel as this great catalog showes. New items included the 75th Anniversary Special U36B Frt. set, N&W Spirit Of America GP-9 Bicentennial set, U.P. North American Express U36B set, B&O Capital Limited passenger set(the set line improves with every year in the 70's), Spirit Of 76 series continues with the next seven state boxcars(U36B and caboose are also still available). Also new; PRR "Little Joe" EP-5, S.P. Alco A-B-A set, PRR NW-2 switcher, Erie Alco AB, Jersey Central GP-9, PRR die-cast switcher, expanded rolling stock line with new Standard O and Billboard Reefers, and lots more. To date this was MPC's best catalog, well layed out and easy to read. Also the photographs and design are top notch. This is one of best catalog's from the MPC era to get. |
