GPD is a charitable, non-profit corporation dedicated to the advancement of model railroading by the collection and operation of toy trains and railroad memorabilia, as well as preserving prototype railroad history by sponsoring railroading related activities and events. This car is part of a continuing series of ore by Lionel(beginning in 1989), used as a fund raiser. Production is very low, usually in the 300 range. The cars always celebrate a mining company in Arizona. Features; plastic molded body, removable ore load, plastic trucks with operating couplers, and authentic Pinto Valley mine Company graphics(with operations throughout Arizona). |
