BORDEN OPERATING MILK CAR W/PLATFORM (1983)
| Condition is mint in the box. Box is stained and creased. The piece in mint and unused. Produced by Lionel in 1983-86. A remake of Lionel's classic #3662 operating milk car from 1955-66(the larger version of the milk car). This was the first operating milk car Lionel produced since the postwar version was deleted from the line in 66. One of the best operating cars produced by Lionel. Features; plastic molded white body with brown roof, black lettering, postwar style bar-end metal trucks, gray based metal platform, milk cans, and authentic Borden's "Elsie" cow logo and graphics. When this was introduced by Lionel in 1983, it became one of the most popular items in the catalog. |
